Salted Caramel Syrup
Add 1/2 a pound of soft brown sugar to a pot and heat over medium-low heat, stirring continuously with a spatula.
Once sugar is fully dissolved and starting to caramelize, remove from the heat and add a tablespoon of flaked sea salt and mix in until dissolved.
Set caramel aside and allow it to cool to a point in which it is warm, but the sugar has stopped cooking.
Now add a 1/3 of a pound of boiling water and whisk vigorously until the caramel is fully dissolved.
CAUTION - ALWAYS TAKE CARE WHEN WORKING WITH HOT SUGAR. DO NOT ADD WATER TO CARAMEL WHILE IT IS STILL COOKING.
