Policy

Last updated: January 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Flying Tumbler (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use flyingtumbler.com, including when checkout is powered by AccelPay and orders are fulfilled by licensed retail partners. Flying Tumbler does not sell alcohol; alcohol is sold by licensed partners in your market (for example, licensed retailers in the AccelPay network in the U.S., and Celtic Whiskey or other appointed retailers in Ireland).

1. Controller and contact details

Data controller: Flying Tumbler Irish Whiskey

Contact: info@flyingtumbler.com.

Registered address: Ballytarsna, Nurney, Co Carlow, Ireland.

2. How AccelPay and retail partners fit in

When you purchase alcohol through our site:

  • A licensed Retail Partner (or licensed in-market partner) is the seller of record and fulfils the order.

  • AccelPay acts as the ecommerce and marketplace facilitation layer that routes orders to the appropriate licensed partner and may provide customer support for order-related issues.

  • Payment processing for alcohol orders may involve AccelPay and its payments infrastructure (including order splitting and retailer remittance).

Each Retail Partner and AccelPay may have their own privacy notices or terms that apply to your purchase. Where those notices apply, they will be provided at checkout or in your order confirmation.

3. Personal data we collect

We collect personal data in the following ways:

3.2 Data collected during alcohol checkout and fulfilment

For alcohol orders, the Retail Partner/AccelPay may collect and process additional data necessary to complete a regulated alcohol sale, including:

  • Delivery address and recipient contact details.

  • Age/identity verification data (where required by law).

  • Order contents, fulfilment status, and delivery confirmations (including signature confirmation).

3.3 Automatic data (website and device)
  • IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, and approximate location (derived from IP).

  • Site usage data such as pages visited, clicks, and referring URLs.

  • Cookie and similar technology data as described below.

4. How we use your personal data

We use personal data to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website and customer experience.

  • Respond to enquiries and provide customer support.

  • Process and fulfil merchandise orders (non-alcohol).

  • Facilitate alcohol order routing and communications via AccelPay and licensed partners (where applicable).

  • Send marketing communications where permitted (and manage opt-outs).

  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, security incidents, and misuse.

  • Comply with legal obligations (including recordkeeping).

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

If you are in the EEA/UK, we process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide requested services and fulfil merchandise orders, and to support order-related enquiries.

  • Legitimate interests: to run our business, improve the site, and prevent fraud (balanced against your rights).

  • Consent: for certain marketing communications and non-essential cookies where required.

  • Legal obligation: where we must comply with applicable law.

6. Sharing and disclosures

We may share personal data with:

  • AccelPay, for checkout, order routing, payments facilitation, and order-related support for alcohol purchases.

  • Licensed Retail Partners (and carriers) who fulfil alcohol orders and complete age-verified delivery.

  • Shopify and related ecommerce tooling used to operate our store and manage orders.

  • Payment processors (for example, card networks and payment service providers) for merchandise payments; alcohol payment flows may be facilitated through AccelPay’s payments infrastructure.

  • Customer support platforms (for example, a ticketing system) to handle order questions.

  • Analytics and advertising partners (where enabled) to understand performance and measure campaigns.

  • Professional advisers and authorities where required (for example, accounting, legal, tax, or law enforcement).

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to provide core site functionality, remember preferences, and (where enabled) understand site usage and marketing effectiveness. You can manage cookie preferences via our cookie banner and browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.

8. International transfers

We are based in Ireland, but some service providers (including AccelPay and certain ecommerce/analytics providers) may process data outside the EEA/UK. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and other measures to protect your data.

9. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal and accounting requirements. Retention periods vary based on the type of data and the context of collection.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

EEA/UK users: you may also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission).

U.S. residents: you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (for example, California).

11. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. No system is completely secure; please use caution when sharing information online.

12. Children

Our website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when changes were last made.
